FAQ - Frequently asked Questions

Save Energy, Save Money, and Save the Earth!

  • Why is an electronic product with a standby mode?
    Ans:
CONVENIENCE! In standby mode, the electronic product is on and ready to be activated by its remote control or pressing the power button.

  • Most electronic products are with standby mode – what's wrong to leave them in standby?
    Ans:
On standby, the electronic product still consumes electricity. This unnecessary electricity consumption costs money and increase CO2 emissions. Besides, it is much safer to totally cut off electricity to the electronic product.

  • Is there any environment impact of standby power?
    Ans:
For a coal fired electricity station, it needs to consume tones of coal to produce electricity. At the same time, CO 2 emissions will be yielded. Hence, the less the electricity needs to be produced, the less coal will be consumed. CO 2 emissions will be able to be reduced accordingly.

  • What is EnrSaveR ES101?
    Ans:
EnrSaveR ES101 is an energy saving device newly designed to save standby power consumption of electronic product(s). Completely cutting off standby power to the electronic product when it is not in use, ES101 can save the power that electronic product would otherwise have consumed in the standby mode. Using ES101 is a great idea to save energy, money and the earth.

  • How does ES101 work?
    Ans:
ES101 is a device that connects between the power mains and electronic product(s) with standby function. The electronic product is such as a TV, DVD player or game console. ES101 allows to have a easy control over these types of electronic products. When the product no longer needs to be used, just pressing the button can completely disconnect the electricity. So it no longer consumes energy. Pressing the button again can reconnect the electronic product.

  • What are the benefits by using ES101?
    Ans:
Saving energy – cut off power to electronic product(s) completely. Saving money -- reduce electricity bill tremendously by turning off electronic product left on standby mode. Saves the earth – decrease CO 2 emissions greatly by shutting down electronic product not in use.

  • How much electricity is consumed after ES101 cuts off the power to the electronic product?
    Ans:
No electricity will be consumed by the electronic product. However, ES101 itself does continue to consume a very small amount of electricity – less than 0.20 watts. A normal light bulb consumes 40 watts, which is about 200 times as much as ES101!

  • Can ES101 be placed and used outdoors?
    Ans:
It is strongly recommended to place and use ES101 indoors and in dry area. Please do not expose ES 101 in water, rain or the high humid environment.

  • Can ES101 be overloaded?
    Ans:
A piece of power extension cord can be plugged into ES 101 in order that several electronic products with standby function can attach to ES101 simultaneously . Please note that the total power used can not exceed 1,650 Watts . F or safety purpose, it is strongly recommended NOT to overload ES101 since it could potentially lead to fire and product failure.

  • Is there any difference between using ES101 and turning off electronic product at the power mains?
    Ans:
